The law of visa-free travel for aborigines of Chukotka and Alaska shall come into effect 17.07.2017. According to Chukotka authorities no one used this law yet, because of people have limited information about new law. The travelling without visa is possible for aborigines of Chukotka and Alaska only, who has the relatives the opposite region. The word “relative” means blood family ties, belongs to the same family.
To use visa-free travel is possible by obtaining the invitation letter from relatives. This invitation letter should be sent to local authorities 10 days before departure at least. The stay is possible not longer than 90 days.
